Box Newels are common in larger homes with a wider tread, and a grand staircase. The larger size and decorative trim standout from smaller 3" to 4-1/4" turned newels. We carry box newels made in America. The 4091 Box construction features a 6-1/4" footprint or base, with a 4-3/4" throat or neck size. All 4091 box newels come with installation hardware necessary to mount them, so you do not have to purchase this separately for an extra charge.

Panel styles come in the following:

PLAIN style panel features a plain flat face section on the neck of the post. All 4 sides are plain.
RECESSED style panel comes with a inset panel constructed with an actual panel with stile construction.
RAISED style panel features a decorative raised panel section on all four sides.
FLUTED style panel features a routed section to match pillars and moulding in the home.
