Box Newels are common in larger homes with a wider tread, and a grand staircase. The larger size and decorative trim standout from smaller 3" to 4-1/4" turned newels. We carry box newels made in America. The 4091 Mission Style Box construction features a 6-1/4" footprint or base, with a 4-3/4" throat or neck size. 

The Mission Panel box newel comes with squared trim, neck molding, cap, and a recessed panel. For a craftsman style or Mission style, this is the newel to give your stair a unique and consistent look.
