Apply this epoxy to the holes on the underside of the handrail, and to the holes on your steps, flooring, or base rail. This will help to bond the wood and metal, and is really the best alternative to "squaring the holes". This requires that you chisel each corner, and the baluster will be held firmly by the wood.
Helps eliminate Rattling, and noises associated with a loose railing. Also helps to eliminate a baluster from spinning in the hole, due to the hole being to loose.
Tip: Try and cut all items first, and set them temporarily in place. Once everything is complete, you can go back and start applying the epoxy.
